An old-timey kit that has aged pretty well.
GMs represent the turning point of the war for the EFSF, when their mass produced units can counter the Zakus of the Zeon Dukedom. A whole bunch of variants were eventually made, but the GM Ground Type (and its variants) will always remain as the pioneering line of the venerable series.
